Catholic Identity Charism and Mission

Catholic Identity.

We promote our Catholic identity through our;

1. Catholic Ethos

We develop our Catholic ethos by integrating our Catholic values and teaching into all aspects of school life.

2. Religious Education

We provide a comprehensive Religious Education that teaches pupils about our beliefs, teachings and practices of the Catholic faith.

This includes studying scripture, sacraments, prayer and moral teachings.

The Nursery children have the opportunity to learn about Bible stories through play.

Living out the Values of St Francis

5. Community and Faith Formation
We foster a sense of community among pupils, parents, teachers, and staff.  We provide our pupils with opportunities to engage in faith formation activities, such as retreats, spiritual guidance, and involvement in parish life. This helps pupils develop a sense of belonging and a supportive network for their spiritual growth.

For clean air day, year two reflected on the beauty of our world in forest school and thought about how we need to care for God’s creations. We learnt about air pollution and the damage it can cause to our world and our health. We then went on a hunt around the site for causes of air pollution and ways we can improve it!
