Together we grow in God's love, learning to be the best we can be.
Hello Year 3!
Welcome back to school after a restful half term break.
Our topic this half term is Flow which predominately focuses on our Geography River unit which will involve a local visit for our River investigation. In maths, we start the term by learning about non-unit fractions and we will also continue to work on our maths fluency daily. This half term in English we will be writing instructions, free verse poetry and an adventure story. We will be reading, 'How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth' and 'The Raft', to support these units.
Our class reader will be 'The World's Worst Super Heroes' by David Walliams.
There are lots of exciting things happening this half term such as sports day, class photos, Science Week and open evening. Some of the children in the class will also be taking their First Holy Communion.
Later in the term, we will also have our transition day where children will be able to spend the morning with their new teacher for Year 4.
