St Joseph’s Playgroup Mission Statements

Mission:
To enable all children to be independent, confident happy learners, who are not afraid to take risks.

Vision: 
Let the children be natural explorers. To initiate curiosity, wonder and awe in the environment and to be able to communicate their needs independently.

Values: 
To have an enabling environment, with high quality learning opportunities for all children. To develop their learning through play, by having nurturing and caring staff who have a passion for early years.

St. Joseph's Playgroup is situated on the grounds of St. Joseph's Catholic School and is a charitable organisation run by an independent Management Committee. The Playgroup provides an excellent, friendly environment for pre-school children aged between 2 years and 3 years 10 months preparing for that big step into 'real' school, with stimulating resources to allow them to become independent learners.

In partnership with St Joseph's School Nursery,
we are able to share the 30 hours free childcare offering.  Children who attend St Joseph's Nursery are able to attend The Ark in the afternoon from 12pm to 3pm Monday to Friday. For more information and application forms, please see our admissions page.
