Together we grow in God's love, learning to be the best we can be.

Summer 1

Dear parents and carers,

Welcome back! We hope you had a safe and restful Easter break. We are excited to have you all back at school, ready for an action packed half term...hopefully with some sunshine!

Our topic this half term is called Beside the Seaside. It is a very interesting topic where we will explore beach holidays from the past and we will compare these with modern beach trips. This is a history-heavy topic but we will also use this theme across the rest of our curriculum. To further support our history learning, the children will be visiting Hertford Castle. This is following on from their learning last half term, but will still be very relevant to this topic as the children will gain experience of valuable historical enquiry skills.

Swimming is back. We will also be having an extra PE session on a Thursday which will be great fun...again, especially with sunshine. Fingers crossed!

We will also be spending lots of time in forest school exploring micro habitats, as part of our science topic.

As always, do let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you all.

Miss House and Miss Mayes.
