High Frequency words:

We are building a list of high frequency words up in class to spell correctly every time. The first 25 are up in class and on the website- if you child finds spelling difficult- check the website for the words and give them practice on the ones they find difficult. Here are some slightly more tricky HF words that have been incorrectly spelt this week in Year 3 to learn for a dictation on March 2nd.

As we increase our understanding of spellings, each week we will learn some statutory words, and look at common word patterns. These have been taught in school and consolidation at home will help the children in the daily lessons and frequent dictations.

The spelling in Year 3 has already shown marked improvement with this method.
