Welcome back!

This half term our topic is Enchanted woodland. This topic is all about spring, planting and growing and traditional tales. The children can't wait to watch their beanstalks grow and are wondering whether they will grow as tall as 'Jack's!' 

I have uploaded the topic overview so that you can see what we will be up to in Year 1 this half term.

I have uploaded all the sound mats as they children have now been exposed to all the sounds up to phase 5. Please practise reading and writing words with these sounds. I have uploaded the tricky words too - these are words that need to be learnt by sight for both reading and writing.

I have also uploaded our new knowledge mat for science - this has all the key information for our plant topic this half term. Please read through it with your child and see if you can support them with the home activity.
