Autumn 1

Dear Parents and Carers,
 

This is year is all about helping your child prepare for school.  They will explore and learn through play as well as learn the importance of listening and taking turns.  They will be encouraged to share their ideas, try new things and not give up when things are tricky. 

Nursery enjoy a visit to the Forest school every Friday.  We also sing songs, listen to sounds in Phonics strengthen our core muscles and co-ordination in outdoor and indoor physical activity.  This compliments the beginnings of Literacy, Maths and RE lessons that are built upon throughout the year.

We look forward to sharing your children’s adventures with you.  Please sign up to the online journal Seesaw when we invite you to.  This is a great way to be involved in your child’s learning journey.  In partnership with you we want to make this a great year of growth and development for your child. 

Finally, if you have an interesting job, hobby or can offer insight into a cultural experience for the children please let us know as it enriches the children’s learning and they always love visitors to the class.
