St Joseph's Catholic Primary School

Together we grow in God's love, learning to be the best we can be.

Inclusivity

The school promote inclusivity by striving to create an environment where all pupils feel valued, respected, and included. We aim to embrace diversity and foster a sense of belonging for pupils from various backgrounds, abilities, and cultures.

The school promotes inclusivity by implementing policies and practices that ensure equal opportunities for all pupils. This includes non-discriminatory admission policies that welcome pupils regardless of their race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or special needs. We also work to provide reasonable accommodations and support for pupils with disabilities to ensure their full participation in academic and extracurricular activities.

In addition, the school has an inclusive curriculum and teaching practices.  This helps our pupils develop an appreciation for different backgrounds and promotes understanding and empathy among peers.

The school also promotes a supportive and accepting community by encouraging the pupils to treat one another with kindness, respect, and compassion. Our Anti-bullying and behaviour policy ensures a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils.

The school also runs events and activities that celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity, such as our international day, awareness campaigns, and community service projects that encourage pupils to embrace and appreciate the uniqueness of each individual.

We are committed to promoting inclusivity by fostering an environment that values diversity, provides equal opportunities, and encourages respect and acceptance among pupils and staff.
