Welcome back! I hope you have all had a wonderful break. It is lovely to have the school full of children again and this half term is already speeding along at a cracking pace. It'll be Christmas before we know it!
Some of you will know me better as the year 4 teacher but, in fact, I started my life at St Joseph's in year 2 and I am enjoying the chance to work there again, ably assisted by Mrs Thurley and Mrs Preston.
We have kicked the new term off with the tale of Rapunzel, an old story, but one that has been retold in many ways. The children can already tell the story verbally and I'm sure would be delighted to treat you to a performance if asked.
It was nice to see some of you at the 'Meet the teacher' evening. For those who missed it, I have included the slides here, along with some helpful maths and English resources. I have phases 3 and 5 sounds ready to come home in book bags so, if you haven't already, please send your children's bags and books back to school. Our book changing day is Thursday.
Please drop me a line or catch me at the end of the day if you have any questions. I look forward to working with you this year.
