FAQ about the committee

How do you join the FOSJ committee?

You don’t have to join, you’re a member the day your child starts at St Joseph’s and we can’t wait to meet you!

However, FOSJ does have active committee members who get together outside of school hours to discuss ideas and initiatives and of course, evaluate the success of past events. We tend to hold meetings twice a term and all members of FOSJ are welcome to attend. Our AGM is held annually and our accounts will be available at the meeting and on request.

If you would like to be involved, have an idea to share, or would just like to find out more, just speak to your Class Rep. Alternatively, drop us a note in our post box by the School Office.

The committee is a great way to get involved with school life and meet other parents... we’re also quite good fun!

Can I support the committee without being an active member?

We understand that you may not be able to be an active committee member, but don’t worry there are still other ways you could be involved.

Could you donate your time or expertise to one of our fundraising events? Do you have a fundraising idea? Do you know someone who has a local business that would be willing to donate a raffle prize or give us a discount on their product/service? If so please share with us .... all ideas are good ideas.

Or maybe your employer/company would be interested in supporting the FOSJ with Charity Matched Funding? If so, please do get in touch with a committee member, we would love to talk to you about the opportunity.

How do I contact the committee?

You can contact the FOSJ committee via fosj@stjosephs255.sch.herts.uk your Class Rep, pop a note in our FOSJ post box or just find us in the playground at pick-up, we really are very friendly.
