Together we grow in God's love, learning to be the best we can be.

Autumn1

A very warm welcome to Year 4!

It has been a very busy and productive start to the term and the children have had a fantastic beginning to their time in Year 4.

This half-term, our topic is The Romans and our first book will be looking at Roman myths. Throughout the year, we will read a range of books both in Guided Reading and as our class reading book.

Later on in the year, Year 4 will complete the national Times Tables assessment and the practise that they do at home on TT Rockstars will be invaluable in helping them during that assessment.

To support your child at home, please ensure they are reading for approximately 20 minutes per day and complete about 10 minutes of Mathletics/ TT Rockstars.

Reading books will be changed on a Thursday, however, the children need their reading folders in school daily as they will be opportunities for extra reading throughout the week.

Year 4's Forest School day is on a Monday this term. Swimming on a Wednesday and PE on a Thursday !

I am really looking forward to working with your children and yourselves over the next year and encourage you to come and speak to us if you have any concerns.

Mr. Cutter
