Together we grow in God's love, learning to be the best we can be.

Welcome to year 4!

It has been so lovely to welcome the children back into school and to see how much they are enjoying meeting friends and how quickly they are settling.

I love choosing books to share with the class and our first class book this year is Rumble Star, by Abi Elphinstone, a magical adventure by a much-loved author.   Last year lots of families bought their own copies to share at home and went on to buy and enjoy the sequels.  It would be great to see this carrying on this year as it really does promote a love of reading.

You will see that I have set work on Readiwrite to support spelling, and to be completed as homework alongside daily reading, mathletics  and TT Rockstars.

In year 4 reading folders need to come to and fro from school on a daily basis as reading and book reviews are often a part of our soft starts.  Please support your children to remember this change in routine.

I look forward to meeting you all soon, and to a wonderful half term with our new year 4!
