Together we grow in God's love, learning to be the best we can be.
Dear parents,
Miss Mayes and I can't believe that the Christmas break is finally here. It has been a brilliant term and we are both so proud of the class. So far this year, the children have grown tremendously. Their attitude to learn has blossomed and we are seeing great progress. This week in particular, when everyone is exhausted, there has been lots of opportunities for children to become emotional, overwhelmed and possibly make the wrong choices. However, we have seen the opposite. Whilst reminders have been needed, the class have excelled themselves...despite the Christmas chaos! They behaved beautifully during the Advent service and when watching the KS1 nativity. They have been kind and caring role models to their buddies. They have just been fab. They have definitely earned their Christmas holidays!
During the holidays, we want the children to have the rest they deserve and need. However, please keep reading and practising times tables on TT rockstars.
We wish you a safe, warm and happy Christmas holiday.
Best wishes,
Miss House and Miss Mayes
Welcome back everyone! This half term our topic is all about California and the children have jumped straight in and are busy exploring the area with their atlases.
Our art links beautifully to this as we look at the work of photographer Ansel Adams, famous for his black and white pictures of Californian landscapes. I look forward to being able to share some of the children's work with you soon.
